  • Welcome to the RunnerDuck Blog

We use to publish a monthly newsletter but decided to step up and do a blog instead. Just like our newsletter we will update this "newsletter" about once a month.
Each month we bring you news from our little town of Coupeville, WA and happenings around the island we live on.
We hope you enjoy our blog and we'd encourage you to sign up for email notification since it doesn't update all that frequently.

Day 2 – Onward to Spokane

We left our little island on a gray drizzly day. Ken  had spent three days washing and waxing the trailer and truck but all for not.

It’s always a shock for us to hit city traffic and yesterday was no different.

It drizzled most of the way to Snoqualmie Pass but we did see signs of blue sky looking east but this is looking back the way we came.

The rest of the day was in sunshine with a really strong tailwind. It helped the mileage a little bit but going over the mountains really sucked it up.

We arrived at Suncrest Resort in Moses Lake, Wa. at 3:00 and set up camp.

It’s really a lovely place and the owners are really nice. Once we had everything set up we drove to a nice little fruit stand about five miles away.

They had really good fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables. We  bought some asparagus and peas, yum. All in all a good first day of travel.

This  morning we have a short trip to a Thousand Trails campground north of Spokane. We’ll  spend two nights there and visit a long time friend of Marilyn’s in Spokane whom she hasn’t seen in many years.  Stay tuned for Day Three.
